Favored by pen turners, Negative Rake Insert Cutters feature a second top bevel grind. This lower bevel angle reduces the inserts’ cutting action when turning for more controlled, final shaping of hard materials like plastics, acrylics, resins and dense woods. Turnings will be smoother and give a cleaner surface for any additional sanding and polishing applications to projects.

• 70-812NR Diamond Tungsten Carbide Insert Cutter only. Mainly utilized to add thin line details on turnings, the spear-point tip is great for undercutting and creating small beads. The long sides of the cutter are also utilizeful for fine shaping of rims on bowls or plates. Use carefully, as excessive pressure on the tip from hitting knots, irregular wood grain or aggressive utilize could damage the cutter.
• Cutter has 12.6mm sides and is 3.2mm thick with a 4.20mm center hole to fit on the shaft of RIKON’s 70-800 Woodturning System.
• Cutter is packaged with spare M4 x 9mm T20 Mountng Screw.
