FINGERNAIL GOUGE GRINDING ATTACHMENT #82-1007 holds woodturning gouges for sharpening bevels at consistent, reiterateable angles and shape with your bench grinder and the PRO Sharpening System. Adjusts 40°, so setting bevels to grind on your tools is simple. Jig’s clamp firmly holds tool shafts 3/16” to 1-3/8” thick and up to 1-9/16” wide. Perfect for sharpening spindle and bowl gouges, roughing gouges, and for maintaining their cutting edges – from easy bevels, to side ground variations, to the traditional fingernail shape. Works for sharpening carving tools, too!

• For utilize with the 82-1005 PRO Sharpening System. Setting bevel angles for sharpening is done by adjusting the System’s Long Arm in-or-out of the Base. Final adjustments can be then made by adjusting the angle of the grinding attachment with the side wing nut. Easy!
• Bestselling ‘Fingernail’ shaping of gouges is done by ssuggest moving the tool left and right on the grinding wheel to boost the tool’s bevel further support from the too’s tip, to along the sides of the gouge.
