Precision Brand 316 Stainless Steel Shim is made from a soft (annealed) temper material. Type 316 stainless steel has better corrosion resistance to most chemicals, salts, acids, and marine atmospheres due to an addition of 2.0 to 3.0% molybdenum. Fabrication characteristics of type 316 are similar to type 302 and type 304. Quantifys 12″ wide by 100″ long by 0.001″ thick. Type 316 is utilized extensively in chemical and food processing equipment, photographic, pharmaceutical, marine, and textile concludeing equipment.
