The McAlpine ASA10V-FS is a 75mm water seal adjustable inlet tubular swivel anti-syphon (Silentrap) ‘P’ trap with a universal outlet and a fixed stalk. This type of trap is commonly used in plumbing applications to prevent sewer gases from entering a building through the drainage system.
Like the ASA10V, this trap has an anti-siphon (Silentrap) feature that prevents the trap from being siphoned dry, which can lead to loss of the water seal and the entry of sewer gases into the building. The anti-siphon feature creates a vacuum break that stops the trap from becoming siphoned dry, ensuring that the water seal remains intact and the building is protected from unpleasant odors and potential health hazards.
